REGENT'S SEPTEMBER MESSAGE

My sisters in Christ Jesus,
I wish to welcome you back to another season with the Catholic Daughters of the America's, Court Compton 942. I pray that you all had a great summer with your families. I look forward to another year of working with you at our meetings on new charities, membership drives, fundraisers, workshops and conventions. I pray that we treat each other with dignity and respect. Also that we love each other as we love ourselves.
Prayer
Dear God,
Thank You for this morning and the chance to begin again. When worries crowd my mind, help me lay them at Your feet and choose trust over tension. Steady my thoughts, guide my steps, and keep my heart soft toward the people I’ll meet. “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” (Psalm 94:19 NIV)
Help me notice small chances to love, to listen, and to speak life. Give me wisdom for decisions, patience in delays, and courage to do the next right thing. Let Your peace guard my mind and Your joy color the atmosphere I carry today.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Bonita Carter, Regent

CDA Court Compton # 942 Welcomes
Fr. Cleopas D. Nsom, S.T.
Our Lady of Victory Parochial Vicar!

Fr. Cleopas Nsom brings with his a wealth of experience and a heart devoted to service. He recently completed five years of ministry as Secretary of his religious community (Missionary Servant of the Most Holy Trinity) in Maryland. He returns to parish life with renewed dedication.
Born in West Cameron, Fr. Cleopas speaks five languages, including Spanish which he began learning at OLV in 2010. He holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution, reflecting his commitment to building peace, healing divisions, and walking communities through times of challenge. Fr. Cleopas loves connecting with people, discovering new cultures, and is a big fan of Mexican food- especially birria and just about any kind of fish.
We welcome back Ft. Cleopas Nsom to OLV parish family and will keep he in our prayers as he begins this new journey of faith and service with our communities.

Congratulations to Deacon Philip! Court Compton and JCDA members, OLV clergy and friends gathered on July 23 at Our Lady of Victory Church for a celebratory dinner to honor Deacon Chukwuma Philip Anaele. We congratulate him on his July 6th ordination as a Deacon. We offer our support and prayers as he continues his journey to the priesthood with the Missionary Servant of the Most Holy Trinity in Columbia.
